ALL ABOUT ME

Cruises to Vava u, Tonga | Holland America Line Cruises

(This picture is an image of Vava’u)
This is the place where my
grandpa came from.

Malo e lelei my name is Vaimoana and I am proudly named after my grandpa’s auntie, her name is also Vaimoana. They named me Vaimoana because my grandpa wanted to name me after his auntie. My nickname “Moana” is what people usually call me and it means ocean so I am named after the ocean too.

My last name “Sikalu” was from my grandpa's side in Tonga, Vava’u. I am proud to have this last name because I am proud of my culture. In my family, 28 people in my family live in Tonga and 1 person from my family lives in the United States of America. My last name is hard for people to pronounce but all that matters is that they tried their best to say it. The last name is important because it identifies which family you belong to and where your inheritance also comes from.

Names are important to our families because they are memories of lost loved ones or names given to make connections with a distant family.

This is where my dad          when She was little.
lived when
He was little.
My name was the name of my mum's sister who is Ola but my mum wanted my name to be a bit longer because she didn’t want people to just call me Ola so she put Langi into my name when I was born. Langi was from my mum's step sister's last name so that's how I got named Langiola.

My last name “Uiha” was from a Tongan Island in Lifuka, In the Ha’apai islands of tonga. It had a population of 638 in 2006 and an area of 5.36km. My mum was from Kolofo'ou in Tonga and my dad is from Houma. Kolofo’ou is a place in Tonga and Houma is a village in Tongatapu. I am glad that I was named Langiola because people are trying to say my name right but I don’t care if they say it wrong but at least they tried.

I am proud of my name because it shows that I am Tongan.

Maths - fraction by Junefia

In-Room 7, we have been learning to add, multiplication, division, and subtraction. We use all these strategies to solve magic fractions or mixed fraction. Magtegiesic fractions are when you use the strategies to solve fraction problems. For example 1/2 + 3/4= 4 + 6 = 10/8. Mixed fractions are when you add a whole number and a magic fraction with another whole number and a magic fractions. In this maths, the activity is magic fraction and mixed fractions problems. We were told to show our work carefully so this is what I did with my buddy Janett. Hope you learn something from this maths activity!

How to stop the spread of germs - Flucamp blogFluCamp
About Germs
Germs are a theory of disease, it is currently accepted scientist theory
for many diseases. And it can infect humans or animals or other

Germs can cause people to be sick & have a stomach ache or you could

for you because it helps build up your immune system, your body’s
defenses system to fight off and protect you from the bad germs.

Viruses can only survive by living in the cells of a living thing like a
person, plant, or animal. They can spread through the body and make
its host very sick. The flu, cold sores, and chickenpox are all caused by
viruses. Some germs are actually grown to be used as medicine to fight
other germs. Doctors use microscopes to determine there are any germs
in any human body or skin. Germs can infect any human living cells,
Germs are very small organisms that people can not see.
