Interview by Junefia

With this activity, we were to create questions to interview someone that is living his/her dream. These are my questions and I was lucky enough to interview Miss Langton who is a teacher in Room 5. Here it goes... Where did your love of becoming a teacher come from? What do teacher do? How did you get your job as a teacher at Tamaki Primary? What have been your highlights of your career so far? What are your future goals? What skills do you need to become a teacher? What advice do you have for me students who want to pursue this pathway?

Inferencing by Dyzon and Cedric

We found this activity a bit hard but when we discussed it again with the teacher and my buddy,  we managed to complete it. We think we need more practice before we can be confident enough to use the skills to enhance our reading comprehension on our own.

Follow your dream by Langiola

These messages encourage me to follow my dream no matter what other people think or say.
I want to be a great chef in the future.

Compare and contrast by Vaimoana & Langiola

We have learnt to give every thing a try and believe in myself.
We have also learnt to ignore people's negative comment because it is ok to make mistakes.
We have learnt to be positive, courages and do the right thing.

Compare and contrast by Junefia & Janett

We have learnt a lot from Aroha's way and the "Follow your Dream" that we can not give or give in to all the negative comments that people say about us.
We need to always try our best, never give up on what you know is right.
We need to be courages and talk to people that we trust.

Reading by Moana

This week we were focussing on this song Follow your dream by Sheryn Regis.
It is very motivating

Cloze exercise by Junefia

People laugh us they
Stare at you and say
She's got nowhere to go
But if they only know you're thinking
Where did I go wrong
How should I move on
In Spite of what I see
They're losing faith in me
Refrain 1
You tell yourself you believe
That in every feat
It takes a heart to endure
All the pains and grief,
Having the hope to see the best that you can be….
Chorus
Follow your dream
The courage found within
Your soul is keeping you so strong
That you could rise each time you fall
And stand up on your own
This time you won't go wrong
Just give your best to hold your will
Persistently, become the one
You've always aimed to be
Verse 2
Got to find your place
Where you'll proudly face
The woes that come your way
Sometimes it's hard to say
If you can stick to your desire
Never lose the fire
That burns up light inside for you to win the fight
Refrain 2
You tell yourself to achieve
You must not retreat
Persist the stops can be tough
If you must compete
Learning the path of fate
By every road you take...
